Glass Painting

Ariel Wine glass

Christmas I had some Glass paints brought me, I have always wanted to have a go at glass painting. as it looked interesting. I had a girl do Toystory design ones for me for my wedding and I was impressed with them, and the kids loved them too, I love drawing so thought it would be great If I could have my own  Favourite character painted on a glass or candle holder. I went out a few days after the busy Christmas period  to purchase some blank wine glasses and went straight into it. I thought I would have ago at painting "The Little Mermaid" as that is my all time favourite Disney film. I started Drawing Ariel free hand on plain white paper and then got a clean wine glass and used masking tape to hold the picture up the opposite side of the glass so I can see the outline. Using a black outline pen I followed round my drawing. Once completed I started filling in the colour. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete and I was very pleased with the out come..especially as it was my first time. I  then using a pint glass a few days later I had a go at drawing Harley Quinn from batman but as I was using a new outline pen I had brought from HobbyCraft I was not impressed with what I did so I tried again..This time I did a glass candle holder and did the " The Nightmare Before Christmas" sihoutte, I was satisfied with the outcome but I do need to do more work on them.. I have put up on my shop as samples as I did not want to sell these ones due them being my first ones.. I am hoping to do more in the future so I better get practising.. I hope you like them.
