My top 5 Christmas films

My Top 5 favourite Christmas films

Christmas is approaching very fast and even though it is a stressful time of year it is also very exciting, especially when it comes to the festive films we all love to watch with our families at Christmas. I love snuggling up in front of the fire on the sofa with my hot chocolate. So here is my top 5 favourite Christmas films

  1. Home Alone
This film is about a mischievous boy called Kevin ( Macaulay Culkin ) who's family come over for the holidays to get ready for they're big trip to France. After Kevin and his brother Buzz cause a big scene, Kevin is to blame and he is sent up to the attic where he tells his mom that he wished his family could disappear, his mother replies " becareful what you wish for as you never know it may happen some day" and in this case it does when Kevin wakes up to find he is alone...but not too long.....This film is the first one I watch  and I always watch it on the 1st December after we have put up our Christmas decorations. I can not believe the film is now over 20 years old..makes me feel old anyway lol but I still enjoy watching it every time.

     2.  Home Alone 2 : Lost in New York  ( Yes!! I had to put this )

You might be thinking really?? but I do like to watch this one on Christmas Eve to finish my Christmas countdown. I always settle down with a fresh hot pizza from my local Domino's and watch this. For those you have not seen it, it is basically a similar story to the first but Kevin ends up on the wrong plane and ends up in the Big Apple.

    3. Elf

Elf is a bout a young baby from an orphanage that accidentally ends up back at the north Pole with dear old Santa. Unknown what to do one of Santa's elves decides to take him on as his own son. Buddy ( Will Ferrell ) Ends up getting to big for the work shop, learning that his real father is alive but on the naughty list, but gets to his birth place in New York to meet with his father and hopefully build up a relationship but all is not that easy for a Big Elf in the Big city. Love this film, Will Ferrell plays a good part as Buddy the Elf and it is a laugh out loud comedy all the way through.

  4.  Gremlins

Not really a popular kids choice but I love watching this film at Christmas as the film is set at Christmas time. Gremlins is about a young boy that adopts a cute Mogwai called Gizmo the three rules of owning one is - Do not expose him to bright light or water and do not feed after midnight, When all this happens Billy ( Zach Galligan ) has more work on his hands.

  5. The Santa Clause

This film is another favourite of mine not only is it christmassy but Tim Allen of Home improvement is in it. The film has a very funny story line throughout. When divorced dad Scott ( Tim Allen ) accidentally kills a man in a Santa's suit on Christmas Eve he ends up  putting on the suit and he becomes the next Santa and gets transported to the North Pole, it is then a  race against time before the next Christmas arrives.Scott over the next several months starts physically changing and ends up with a white beard that once it is shaven reappears.

Well that is my top five favorite Christmas films, I hope you like them and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Meet Hank

Hank the Daschund

Hank

Sorry That I have not been on for a while but I have had a hectic few weeks. Firstly I had to look after the Husband after he got the flu...Yes flu and this time it was not the dreaded manflu..It was horrible he was bed bound for 2 weeks but he is finally over it now. Then of course we had a new arrival in the Withers household....Hank our Miniature Daschund..He has kept me busy trying to settle him in and get a routine in place. Now he is settled and we have started a routine I can get back to blogging :)

We had Hank on the 17th October at 10 weeks old...Got to say for a puppy he is quite well behaved..He just drives me potty running rings around me and constantly have to get things out of his mouth..lol.

Anyway I will be doing a couple of reviews soon on  films I watched at Halloween called 'Howl ' and ' Poltergeist 2015 '.

Speak soon x

New Craft

Needle Felting

I thought I would try out a new craft after spotting a few people doing it on Etsy. Some of the things that people produced where fantastic, making models of animals and all sorts. When I clicked on the items it was described as Needle felting which at the time I never heard of...So I googled and you tubed it to get an idea of how it works.By the video's it looked easy to do just jabbing a needle into wool...It probably wont be...lol. So I went on Amazon and got myself a starter kit for £16.99 which comes with 20 assorted colour wool felt, Needle felting mat, needles, needle holder and an instruction booklet. The company selling through Amazon is called Heidi feathers, the link for the site for anyone that is interested is below. I will also add links to video's and pictures of peoples work so you can see for your self. I will start off with the samples in the booklet to see how I get on and hopefully progress to having ago at making my late dog Eddie come to life with needle felt...wish me luck lol.

Child 44

Disappointment

Drama, Thriller  3/10

Starring - Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman and Noomi Rapace

As promised I watched Child 44 the other night after I saw the Dvd in HMV and thought it looked interesting. I thought with big names such as Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman it must be good and worth the watch.... I have learned that the phrase " Do not judge a book by it's cover " is actually true...I started watching this film with Paul and 56 minutes in we decided to turn it off as we could not watch anymore and we carried on watching the True blood series that we are in the middle of watching. In my own opinion I can not really write a synopsis about this film as it was confusing for me..well for both of us..It was like the director could not make their mind up what the story was about...is it about a child murderer or is it about treachery....so confusing. Tom Hardy's Russian accent was also that strong it sounded like he was mumbling and we could not tell what he was saying. So in the end we lost interest in the film as we could not keep up and turned it off.Sorry but I would not recommend it, I have always been a believer though that you must judge for yourself as everyone has different interests and opinions and may suit someone else but it was not my cup of tea....

Avengers : Age of Ultron

Marvel Action

Action, Drama and Sci-Fi  7/10

Rogue and Gambit
I am a big Marvel fan. I have loved Marvel ever since I was a kid when I started to watch the X-Men series back in the 90's. I was hooked after one episode and I still watch it today...Yes  thats's right...My name is Kate Withers and I love watching cartoons at the ripe age of 30..lol My favorite Marvel character's are Gambit and Rogue.I liked everything about them their powers and abilities, wardrobe and Rogue's southern accent.. I used to try and practise the accent when I was younger.. Sad I know..Well enough about them and on to the main category of the Avengers.
I will at some point do a profile blog on different X-Men characters.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is the sequel to the 2012 Avengers film. I have been very excited and keen to watch this film because I love watching the directors bringing the marvel characters to life. Iron man, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Captain America and Black Widow reunite yet again to save the earth from global extinction, all thanks to Tony Stark, When he and Bruce Banner try to jump start a dormant peace keeping program to which everything goes wrong bringing Ultron to life
I did enjoy watching it for the CGI but it had no moving dark story like the trailers promised. There were quite alot of one liner jokes that were not funny...Which was a constant occurring theme from mostly Iron Man and Captain America. Maybe it is just me and just did not find the jokes funny, I also can not stand Captain America so maybe it's because of that ( Sorry CA fans ) ..Who knows....There were also loads of random scenes which had no back story to them and made no sense like -

1 - The film opens with all the Avengers in a massive battle scene for reasons that are not really important.

2. A love Story has suddenly developed between Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff which had no back story to it.. Hawkeye has some secret life which is revealed when he is forced to return home to his pregnant wife and kids!!!..

RANDOM.........but I do like how they have started to introduce new characters to the film ( Scarlet Witch and QuickSilver ) .You can never get enough of mutants..

Well with action and CGI It still had me hooked but as for a storyline it was not very good..I think they used the excessive explosions and action to hide the poor storyline.

I still like Jeremy Renner though who plays Hawkeye...Wink Wink lol

Friday night in with a film

Tonight's viewing and a Pizza

Child 44

A bit of Tom hardy...why not?! lol

Due to the Wedding it has been a while since I have watched a film or even write a review about one. As you have all seen I have done a quick review on my latest 3Ds purchase which I am very excited about and will write about it this week. I also need to write a review this week on The Avengers: Age of Ultron which I finally got to see, and after tonight I will need to write a review on a film we will be watching " Child 44 " with Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman, Can not wait. I saw this when I was in HMV today and fancied watching it... I have lots to do which will keep me busy over the bank holiday. I hope you all have a good bank holiday and really hope it stays dry for all have made plans.

3Ds Tales Of The Abyss

Tales of the Abyss

I know this is nothing to do with films or crafting but I thought I would give it a mention. I do love playing on my Nintendo 3Ds, I had the handheld console for Christmas from my dad ( he got himself one too ) so we could play them on our long train journeys when we go on trips.........and so I can play the latest Pokemon game which at the time was Pokemon Omega Ruby. Since I have had it I have brought games Such as " Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Tomodatchi life and Jurassic World Lego. Even though I have a Playstation 3, I rarely play games on it now, but I do miss playing RPG style games like Final Fantasy. I was going to buy Bravely Default as I was recommended it but as I went to add that to the basket, it said underneath " click to buy " " other people who brought this also tried this " Tales of the Abyss " it was given very good reviews and 4 stars out of 5...Also it was £7 cheaper than Bravely default, so I ordered it.I will write a review about it later in the week as I play more and get an idea of the story..so stay tuned.
Final Fantasy was and is still my favourite RPG

Wedding Day

My Big Day

Becoming Mrs Withers -

I apologise I have not been on for a while, as you may know who have been following me I was getting prepared for my Wedding day. After a lot of stress and tantrums on the way ( mostly from me...ok just me lol ) We finally made it. Me and Paul got married on Thursday 6th August at 2pm. It was the best day of my life and it is right what everyone say's.... it went quick. But I will always remember it. I was so nervous on the day. My Bridesmaids, family and myself stayed at The Angel Hotel in Pershore just 10 minutes from the venue on the Wednesday, we went out for a pre wedding meal and had a few drinks, it was a really wet night and I was panicking the actual day itself will be very wet, well you can not help mother nature you just have to hope for the best.I woke up on the morning at 6am and had myself a bath before starting to get ready at 8:30am. At this point I was very calm and excited. My hair dresser Kim ( Serenity Hair ) put rollers in my hair and left me to start my Bridesmaids. I was still calm watching the tv in the room and ordering room service.10am on wards my make up artist cam and my photographer....so it became very busy...I became very nervous when at 12:20 my wedding cars started to arrive.. I knew at this point it was appraoching, walking down the isle with 40 pairs of eyes staring at you ( probably waiting for something to go wrong )..something almost did when my shoes would not fit me and were very loose...YES! I had a tantrum and threw my shoe lol I know now that was silly of me. My chief bridesmaid was trying different things to make my shoe fit, in the end I just told my dad to hold on tight and not to let me fall. He did and even though I was very nervous I made it to the end to marry my soul mate. It was a magical day and the sun was shining throughout, till this day even though we lost my father in law to cancer on 19th June, I believe he was with us that day and he was the one who brought out the sunshine for this special day of ours.My poor dad was very nervous for his speech, I told him to have a bit of proseeco to ease his nerves...He ended up having 4 glasses, there was no need for him to be nervous  as he nailed it and brought myself and the guests to tears, I was so proud of him.

We have decided to plan our honeymoon for next year as so much has happened this year, Pauls Dad, the wedding and now getting our little addition to the Withers household in October ( Puppy not baby  lol ) so it is something else to plan and look forward to next year and I can not wait to start 2016 with my new Husband..roll on..Please find below a few links to suppliers that I used...They were all fantastic and helped me make our day.

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Just as good as the first

Comedy - Drama 10/10

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a follow up to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel with the return of the much loved characters from the first plus new faces ( Richard Gere and Tamsin Greig ) . I found this film very  uplifting and funny and is really worth the watch. The story follows both  Sonny ( Dev Patel ) and Muriel Donnelly ( Maggie Smith ) who are now in partnership with the Marigold hotel looking to expand the business, with promise of someone to inspect the hotel to help with that decision and with one room remaining, Sonny looks into making sure that one person is well looked after....With the threat of it jeopardising his marriage to  Sunaina ( Tina Desai).I really enjoyed watching this film and was not disappointed with it any way,  when there was dancing it really got me going to want to get up and dance with them. Paul and I both had the same views on the film which was really good and had a great discussion about it afterwards and has also got us to discuss a possible holiday to India one day as it looks beautiful. Dev Patel plays a really good part as Sonny and can not help but love his character throughout both films and will look forward to seeing him in future films. If you are looking into watching this film, watch the first one so you can get to know the characters and you then can appreciate the second as each individual character has their own story to follow.

Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Crap!

Drama - Romance 3/10

Well what can I say bout this film.....Not a lot really. I tried to read the book but I could not get into it. My friends went to see the film and were asking me if I was going to see it..I refused many a times as I think it would of been a waste of my money. When Paul was out with his friends I noticed it was available on my Mobi Box as it was now not going to cost me extra money I thought I would break and actually see what all the fuss was about....... I hated it...not that it was raunchy but it was a big cheese fest and poor. The only good thing about it was the sound track. The acting was cheesy and the ridiculous script from the film..OMG!! I could not believe some of the things the actors had to say. I fell asleep halfway though as my mind could not take it any more so I had to resume the following day and finish it just so I can write about it. No sorry it was not my cup of tea and I am definitely not in a rush to watch the sequel when it is released.

Drawing with Colour pencils

Derwent Colour pencils

Skin Tones

Love my Derwent Pencils
Before , after and the picture I used
Last week I brought some Derwent Skin tone Pencils, when I have been doing my drawing in the past I have always experimented with different paints and pastels but never thought to try colour pencils. When I draw it has to be a clear picture as now I am 30 my eyesight is no longer 100% lol , so when I went to a speedway meeting I purchased a photograph of my favourite rider as it was a very clear perfect picture. I attempted the drawing a couple of weeks ago but I felt it needed some improvement and was not happy with it, my dad kindly let me borrow a book of his all about colour pencils just to get a few tips and see where I was going wrong, I also got some handy tips off my dad too with using a white gel pen for highlights with the eyes and black fine liquid pen for eye lashes, so I tried again. Although it is not completely finished due to not having the colours I need I am very happy with the outcome. From this I have a custom order from someone at work who has asked me to do a portrait of their dog which I am very chuffed about. Think I need to get more pencils before I do, so I have some begging to do with Paul as they are expensive...So close to the wedding I think I know what the answer would be lol.

Jurassic World

**SPOILER ALERT**

Colin Trevorrow fantasic 10/10

Finally got to see Jurassic World last night...well what can I say? I was sceptic about it first and was worried how Colin Trevorrow would get on with it compared to the classic Jurassic Park by the legendary directer Steven Spielberg, especially introducing a Dino Hybrid. I thought I would be brave and pay the extra to sit in gold class as I find it annoying when people have a conversation when you are trying to watch a film. All in all I thought Colin did a fantastic job bringing the much loved Dinosaurs to life again. From start to finish I was gripped. I loved how the they still had bits from the original film. A park tech operator  named Lowery was wearing a vintage Jurassic Park T-shirt that he said in the film he won in an auction . There is also one scene where the two young boys Zach and Gray stumble upon the old visitor centre while on the run from the Indominus
Lowery
Original Visitor Centre
Rex which is after 20 years covered in plant life, as they are walking around they find 2 old Jeeps from the original film, fix one up and drive off towards the park.Chris Prat played a good part in it as a Velociraptor  expert and trainer but I think they needed to research or even talk to an actual trainer regarding the clicker, when he was training the Velociraptors he was over using the clicker, in my experience you just click once or twice when the animal has done something good and you reward them, not constantly click like his finger was stuck on the button. I know it is nit picking over something small but even the smallest thing matters. Now here is where the big spoiler is so if you do not want to read please stop now......The best bit for me was the epic final scene, When Owen, Claire, Zach and Gray thought time was up being corned by the raptors, the Raptors turn on the I.Rex which kills 2 raptors and the again aims for Owen, Claire and the boys, realising they are now outmatched, Claire runs and lures the old favourite the Tyrannosaurus rex into the fight, the T-rex is now being over powered untill the remaining raptor Blue makes an appearence and attacks the I.rex, fighting along side the T-rex both pushing the I.Rex towards the lagoon ending with the  Mosasaurus leaping out and pulling the I.rex into the lagoon.I thought it was great after the T-rex appeared in the original killing the raptors looking like it saved the
Visitors and it was amazing making them look like a tag team to take this monster hybrid down. I really enjoyed the film and will recommend to all to watch it from past to present. I am disappointed to hear they are thinking of sequels as really they should of left it at that.To be honest they should not of bothered with " The Lost World" or " Jurassic Park 3" and had Jurassic World as the sequel 20 years after the first. Oh well it will be interesting to see as it will be yet another director. So lets watch this space.

30th Birthday and sad loss

Well today is my 30th Birthday, the day I was suppose to look forward to, but after I lost my father in law on the 19th to prostate cancer it has been very hard. Paul took me up to one our favourite walks at midnight of the 25th in his dad's ranger and surprised me with a Big Hero 6 birthday cake so it made it feel his dad was with us which was really nice. We are spending the day seeing the vicar regarding funeral arrangements but I know the rest of our family will try to make it special tonight when we go out for a meal even though one chair will be empty.....

The Boy in a Dress and Dyslexia

The Boy in the Dress

Battling with Dyslexia

R.L Stines teenage horror series

I know this is not a film review or anything to do with Jewellery but it is something I want to get back into that I used to do as a child.

When I was young I was always reading fictional books an hour or so before lights out and bed. The books I used to love were Goosebumps, Narnia and The Famous five and I really enjoyed them.  As I got older I was really struggling with reading, I would struggle to hold all the information causing confusion and causing me to lose interest really quickly. I thought maybe it was down to me becoming a teenager and I wasn't actually a book person. I really struggled in Secondary school too, when it came down to doing work I found it hard to understand even when the teacher used to break it down for me I could not get it. Someone would tell me a conversation and I would either not understand something simple or I would forget within minutes what some of the conversation was about the person had with me. I spent my school years feeling embarrassed and hopeless. It was only when I was at college doing my Art and Design my lecturer noticed something was not right when I was trying to do writing on my work and that it did not make sense and I would struggle with wording. He sat me down and recommended that through the college that I should get tested for Dyslexia...I agreed...The test was simple just answering questions and writing things down..it came back that I had dyslexia and with the help of the lecturer and the college they gave me the help I needed to get me through college. I was so relieved, all these years being picked on and being made like I was a no gooder at school by students and teachers I battled through I finally found the help I needed. I still sometimes struggle today but I have people around me that understand and help me through it. Sometimes Paul will say something to me with a word I do not understand and I ask him to explain what it means without feeling the need to be embarrassed and he explains it to me. He laughs if I am on the phone to my mom and he say's "oh cool what did she say is she ok?" and I would reply " I can not remember what she said now and I just laugh with him. Getting to the actual blog about the boy in the dress, I was in Waterstones the other day and I said to my dad That I missed reading books and would like to do it again but I feel that I cant and if I try to read, if I put it down when it comes to picking it up again I have to go back a re-read a few pages to remember what happened. My dad bless him said you are just not reading the right books that I am reading books with too much information that overloads my brain. So he recommended me to try teenage books again so I have,  but not quite teenage lol even though I am nearly 30 I got a book from the 9-12 section which got my interest. I picked up " The Boy in the Dress" by David Walliams, when I saw it the illustration style reminded me of the great Roald Dahl, the written layout was nice and spaced and there is not alot of information to overload me, so I will see how I get on with it.

The moto of this is do not let others bully you  because you are different, there is nothing wrong with that it makes you who you are, Strong, special and unique.
I am proud of who I became and I now feel there is nothing to be ashamed of that there are aways a way around the obstacles put in place.

Ollie Ommer fun day

A few key rings and Bookmarks I made

My Stall

I have been a busy bee today, spending some time making Jewellery and accessories  ready for the Cradley Heathens Ollie the Ommer fun day this Saturday ( 13th June ). I have not made any for a while so I was rather excited about doing this, especially as I brought a new bag load of beads from the Warwickshire beadshop. I made a few keyrings and a couple of bookmarks. I really enjoyed making The Mermaid bookmark it was really fun to do as I have some shells that would go really well with the design and  I added faceted crystal rondelle beads for the water effect.  I still have a bit more to do as I would like to make more bracelets I only have a few. I will be spending a lot of my free time this week trying to get everything ready in time, so unfortunately I will not be able to watch many films till next week. I will be adding some items on my Etsy shop so please stay tuned.

Jurassic World release

Not long now

                                                    10 days to go

Mamma Mia

Mamma Mia!

Got to love musicals

Yes this is us ladies and gents lol
I know this is an older film but I thought I would give it a mention as I am heading to London in October to see it in theatre. I do love my musicals I have only seen a few so far due to commitments one after the other over the last 5 years, from saving for the house and now the wedding, but once the wedding is over I can finally see a few more off my list. The ones I have seen have been fantastic, I have been to Birmingham to see " The Rocky Horror Picture Show " that was fun as we all got to dress up,  I got to say hat's off to the gents that were brave enough to dress up not only as Frank n Furter but to dress up as Rocky in the middle of winter too...Wow!! lol. I dressed up as Magenta and my mother who came with me dress up as Columbia, The best bit to that show was the audience participation,  as they got everyone up doing the time warp!!! Awesome...The next show I saw which was only 2 years ago was " The Lion King" I had been wanting to see that for a while I left hints for Paul each day that I wanted to see it and he finally got me a ticket to see it for my Birthday, I loved every minute of that  even Paul did and he can not stand musicals, the actors were brilliant and the audience joined in singing along to the well loved tunes from the film. Last but not least only last October I went to London to see Wicked, It was not my favourite, proabably ruined it for myself as I had left my glasses back at the hotel that night, so found it hard to see in the distance, but again the story line was good as it was linked with  the Wizard of Oz and the songs were very catchy leaving you singing them when you left the theatre. So leads me back to Mamma Mia! I am very excited about seeing it and love the film even though it was a big cheese with awful singing from Pierce Brosnan ( Sorry Pierce )  I had to get the album ready to hear in the car so I could sing along and prepare myself ready...Roll on October...

Big Hero 6

Big Hero 6

Animation, Sci-fi and Action 8/10

Hiro and Baymax

Another classic by the Disney team. Big Hero 6 is about a young robot enthusiast boy who develops a special bond with an inflatable robot called Baymax created by his brother to help others in need, together with some friends they team up  to form a band of high tech heroes.

Big Hero 6 is the 54th edition to the Disney classic  collection, When I saw this advertised I could not wait for it to to be released to dvd so on Monday for £10 from Sainsbury's I snagged it. I am not ashamed to admit that I am a Disney nerd and had to watch this and add to my collection. Paul is not really into Disney but as I was desperate to watch it the same night I purchased it it went on. Paul found the film really funny and even once the credits went up had to go back to a certain scene to watch again as he found it that funny. I found it amazing, it is not the best one as my favourite are the old classics like "The Lion King" and "The little Mermaid" but it's up there.
It is action packed throughout and as I have said many times in the blog it was FUNNY lol. I must warn you though, when you do watch it have some tissues nearby as it is a tear jerker in some scenes...well for the weak like me lol.

As for the characters well what can I say, as said in the title there are 6 heroes, Hiro, Honey, Wasabi, Fred, GoGo and Baymax, but I always find  it is the sidekick you fall in love with during the movie...Well for me it is anyway lol..in" The Croods" its Belt, " Guardians of the Galaxy" its Groot, " Frozen" it is the loveable Olaf and now this it is the big inflatable  adorable Baymax who once you finish watching this film end up wanting your own inflatable softie to take care of you and give you warm marshmallow hugs.
Olaf vs Baymax

I would recommend this film for fellow Disney and animation fans and well anyone who has a good sense  of humour.

Edge of Tomorrow

Edge of Tomorrow

Action and Sci-Fi  9/10

An Action and Sci-fi film starring Tom Cruise as a military office who against his will is brought in to help fight a war against an alien species. When during battle kills an alien, he is enabled with the same power as them and teams up with a special forces warrior ( Emily Blunt ) to try and end the war.

After seeing the trailer for " Edge of Tomorrow" I was very sceptic as I love alien sci-fi films but I am not a big Tom Cruise fan. When I found out the other day that it was available to watch on Nowtv I asked Paul if we could watch it. Paul was a bit sceptic too as he is a very big fan of the Ridley scott film " Alien" and has always been fussy with what films he watches to do with aliens. Well...we both watched it and thought it was amazing and both Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt played strong likeable characters and gave the acting 100%. Although slightly confusing at first during the first repeat, it was action packed with added humour. The CGI and the special effects used were fantastic and brought the aliens to life.
I was really gripped from start to end and would truly recommend it to Sci-fi and non- Sci-fi fans as you will not be disappointed

Girl Crush

Favourite Actress's

This week's category is " your favourite actor or actress"

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston
Ever since the 90's when I was a young girl, every Thursday night I would sit back, relax and watch "Friends " it was then I started admiring the lovely Racheal Green aka Jennifer Aniston. She always looked perfect on the show and I loved her hair. No matter what style she had the look always suited her she was perfect. Like every young girl, I dreamed to be like her, I tried to copy and get the Jennifer hair but as my hair was too thick it was never possible and ended up a disaster, it was like I walked out the poodle parlour.( I am so glad I have GHD's now lol ). I have watched alot of film's she has starred in...My all time favourite is the bounty hunter, only because it not only has her but the lovely Gerard Butler.Double whammy of my favourite stars.Always said they would make a lovely couple.

Funny film

Even though both Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston are both my all time favourites. There is another young actress who has appeared in a few films lately who I have grown quite fond of. Every film I have seen her in I have watched more than once....well I will take " Into the woods out the equation" thought that was such a dire film lol and she was wasted in it, is Anna Kendrick. I noticed her in the popular film "Twilight" as Jessica, the young girl who befriends Bella at school. She really bounced onto our screens more with  " Pitch Perfect " as Becca. I thought she played a really good part in that, I loved her image and I think if I was still a teenager she would be a great role- model....sadly I am 30 next month so no way will I ever look younger  :(

Who are your favorite actor's or actresses?

Enfield Haunting

Enfield Haunting update

Did anyone watch the first episode of " The Enfield Haunting" on Sunday?
What did everyone think?
I watched it with Paul, We have not got  Sky or Virgin at the moment as we are saving for the Wedding but we purchased the entertainment package through NowTv which had SkyLiving so we managed to watch it at 8pm instead of 9pm which was awesome.

I thought it was quite good and found myself a few times hiding behind my hands, peeping in-between my fingers at the jumpy bits.I can not wait for next weeks I think each episode will get more creepy.

Sex tape

Sex Tape

Rom - Com 7/10

Starring - Cameron Diaz, Jason Segal and Rob Lowe

Sex tape is about a very loved up couple, Annie ( Cameron Diaz ) and Jay ( Jason Segal ). After 10 years together and having 2 children their sex life becomes non - existent. They both decide to try and spice it up by recording a sex tape of them trying every position out of a sex book  called "The joy of sex "which works until the recording accidentally  ends up on the internet. Anne and Jay find it a their mission to try and take down the footage before everyone see's it.

I have read other reviews on this film quite a few were bad , but I liked it. Yeah it was corny and you had  "APPLE " products rammed in your face throughout the film., but it made me chuckle. For me if a film makes me giggle its a winner. Then again I love watching the cheesy, corny horror films with my friends for a good laugh.
